Workshops on export education planned

Education NZ is organising an international conference with workshops for education providers at the Sky City Convention Centre in November.

The two-day conference will begin on November 1 with a launch dinner, with the following day devoted to discussions and presentation of papers.

A notification issued on the Education NZ website invited those involved in the education sector to participate in the workshops.

“We would like the workshops to deal with a number of subjects including the ‘Cultural and social benefits of international education,’ ‘New approaches to promotion and marketing,’ Using new technologies,’ and ‘Student support and student experience.’

“We would welcome industry case studies from those involved in international student promotion and recruitment, as well as organisations involved in the promotion of products and/or services offshore,” the notification said.

Other topics that could be covered in the workshops include how organisations have learned from experiences and changed or adapted their planning and activities to cope with the evolving trends and challenges and practices.
