Popular Telugu Entertainers (Film and TV) Vinay (aka ‘Chalak Chianti) and ‘Sunami Sudhakar’ are entertaining a large audience at the Ugadi Celebrations of New Zealand Telugu Association (NZTA) being held at the Sacred Heart College Auditorium at Glendowie, Auckland.
Their appearance in a Telugu Comedy Programme on TV, called ‘Jabardust’ (hosted by Telugu actors Nagababu and Roja), is watched by millions of fans all over the world.
One of the highlights of the programme was a song that depicted the emotions of New Zealanders in the aftermath of the terrorist attack in Christchurch.

Ethnic Communities Minister Jenny Salesa is the Chief Guest at this event being attended by more than 700 men, women and children.
She spoke about the Telugu community in New Zealand, the Telugu New Year and the solidarity shown by New Zealanders following the mass shootings in Christchurch on March 15, 2019.

Among the other lawmakers are Priyanca Radhakrishnan (Labour), Kanwaljit Singh Bakshi, Dr Parmjeet Parmar, Melissa Lee (National), and many community leaders.
