Hindus in Taranaki recently celebrated the inauguration of their first Hindu Temple with enthusiasm, unity and happiness.

The Temple, with Lord Rama as the Main Deity,  is located at 119 Heta Road, New Plymouth.

It was a historic event for our community.

Indeed, the community will remember with pride and piety the ceremony held on September 23, 2023 as the Taranaki Hindu Cultural Trust inaugurated its first Hindu temple.

The event was marked by prayers, rituals, and blessings, drawing a large gathering of devotees and community members.

Your donations will directly contribute to the expansion and enhancement of the temple, allowing us to provide more comprehensive cultural programs and serve as a hub for intercultural dialogue.

The Taranaki Hindu Cultural Trust extends its heartfelt gratitude to everyone who participated in the Temple’s inauguration and public meeting. We believe that together, we can build a stronger, more vibrant cultural centre that will benefit not only our present generation but also generations to come.

The Temple will be open daily for all devotees, extending a warm invitation to join in the daily worship. Starting at 5 pm and concluding at 8 pm with Aarti at 730 pm.
