Governor General Sir Anand Satyanand has accepted the written apology tendered to him by TVNZ Chairman Sir John Anderson and Chief Executive Rick Ellis over the unsavoury comments by former TV1 Breakfast host Paul Henry.
Lady Susan Satyanand attended the meeting held at the Government House in Auckland on October 14.
The Governor General has accepted the written apology and considers the matter closed and would not comment on the issue further,” Public Affairs Manager Antony Paltridge said in a statement.
Paul Henry resigned from his post on October 10.

Meanwhile, some newspapers in India have slammed the Union Government in Delhi for “over-reacting to one-man’s disrespect to Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dixit” by summoning High Commissioner Rupert Holborow to lodge a formal protest.”
