Secure your business future free

Robyn Henderson, Director of Live Simply Ltd in Auckland has successfully completed the Certificates in Small Business Management (CSBM) and Applied Small Business Growth and Development (CABG).

Like many others, she had been thinking about getting into business for some time.

“The CSBM programme sounded great, as I could study while working full-time and by the end, I would know if my business idea would be worthwhile. As it turned out, my original ‘retail outlet’ idea was not feasible and hence so I had to change my plans to ‘online store,’ which was the best thing I could have done. Towards the end of the CSBM programme, I started my online business ‘Live Simply Limited,’ selling Eco Laundry Balls. I could see that the skills that I had learnt on the programme were working. As a result, my business flourished,” she said.

Continuous education

The CABG programme focuses on business growth and Robyn decided to continue her studies.

“I decided to jump right back into study again. This was exactly what I needed as the programme gets you to take a good look at where your business is right now and, from that analysis, identify what you need to implement in order for it to grow. The assignments are about projects and plans and it is your business that benefits all the way,” she said.

When you enroll in these programmes, you will receive quality resources supported by a knowledgeable tutor.

Penny Smith, one of our experienced CSBM and CABG Tutors in Auckland, has been tutoring the programmes for a number of years and she is constantly amazed and uplifted by the people who enroll in the programmes.

Motivated students

“The students come from all walks of life, creating diversity, which is hugely beneficial as it brings a wealth of experience and new perspectives to the programmes. They are very motivated and passionate about their business, and are keen to learn and share their knowledge. The programme provides practical skills to all students and gives them the opportunity to truly understand what makes small businesses tick. There is a natural progression from CSBM to CABG and the feedback from business owners has been excellent. Students gain an insight into how to run their business more successfully and the seminars and workshops inspire confidence and an opportunity to step up in a safe environment,” she said.
