Sadhguru, known to millions of his followers worldwide as a visionary, Yogi and powerful speaker, is creating history with his global journey on a motorbike to promote the concept of ‘Save Soil.’

His Mission will take him to 27 countries covering more than 30,000 kilometres and as a spiritual leader known to most Heads of State and Prime Ministers, his purpose will be recognised and applauded.

He was flagged off at London’s Trafalgar Square on March 21, 2022, in the presence of hundreds of fans and admirers.

About the Save Soil Movement

According to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD), more than 90% of the earth’s soil could become degraded by 2050, leading to catastrophic crises worldwide including food and water shortages, droughts and famines, adverse climate changes, mass migrations and unprecedented rates of species extinction. This ‘soil extinction’ is the gravest threat to humanity right now, as our planet is losing the ability to grow food because of rapid soil degradation.

Established in 1994, UNCCD is the sole, legally binding international agreement linking environment and development to sustainable land management. It is a key partner of the Save Soil Movement, collaborating in multiple aspects, including scientific knowledge, communications, and outreach.

Sadhguru says that 52% of the world’s agricultural soil has already been degraded. The Save Soil Movement seeks to activate and demonstrate citizen-support across nations and empower governments to initiate policy-driven action to revitalise the soil and halt further degradation.

The Movement aims to reach 3.5 billion people, covering about 60% of the world’s population.

In the past few weeks, six Caribbean nations took the historic first step of signing a Memorandum of Understanding with ‘Conscious Planet,’ in an expression of impassioned commitment to the Save Soil Movement.

The Save Soil Movement is also being supported by the World Economic Forum Executive Chairman Klaus Schwab, the Dalai Lama, Entrepreneur Marc Benioff, Primatologist and Anthropologist Dame Jane Goodall, Deepak Chopra, Tony Robbins, Matthey Hayden, Chris Gayle, Juhi Chawla, Sanjay Sanyal and many others.

Conscious Planet is an effort to raise human consciousness and bring a sense of inclusiveness such that multifarious activities of our societies move into a conscious mode.

According to Sadhguru, this is an effort to align human activity to be supportive of nature and all life on our planet.

“Our work is towards creating a planet where a large number of Human Beings act consciously, governments are elected consciously, where ecological issues become election issues in the world. Our work is towards creating a planet where a large number of Human Beings act consciously, governments are elected consciously, where ecological issues become election issues in the world,” he said.
