Relianz becomes Joint Sponsor of Lecture

We are happy to report that Relianz Forex Limited will be the Joint Title Sponsor with Radio Tarana of the Indian Newslink Sir Anand Satyanand Lecture 2014.

Announcing the decision at an informal fifth anniversary function held at his Head Office located at Balmoral (632 Dominion Road), Managing Director V Giri said that it was an honour to be associated with such a prestigious event.

“I have attended the Lecture in the past years and was impressed with the quality of Speakers, Masters of Ceremonies and the attendees. We thought of adding value to the event by becoming a Sponsor. This decision augurs well with our fifth anniversary celebrations,” he said.

Core Principles

Mr Giri said that his company has adhered to the principles of transparency, accountability and integrity since its establishment in 2009 and that these matched well with those of the Sir Anand Satyanand Lecture.

“We have elaborate systems and procedures in place, ability to check and double-check every transaction that goes through our branches to ensure that we comply with all the mandatory requirements. We do not accept cash payments at our counters to ensure greater transparency,” he said.

He later presented a certificate and a souvenir to Meghna Daiya, who has been with the company since its inception in 2009.

Branch network

The Company began its operations with a single branch at Dominion Road in 2009. It has since grown to account for five other branches, one each in the CBD (32 Queen Street), Sandringham (541B Sandringham Road), Avondale (195 New Windsor Road), Manurewa (19.185 Great South Road) and Papatoetoe (302 Great South Road).

“All our six branches function as ‘One-Stop Foreign Exchange’ to provide exemplary services to our customers. These include Money Exchange, Money Transfers, Cash Pickups, Door-to-Door Draft Deliveries, Worldwide Wire Transfers, Bank Drafts and Commercial Foreign Exchange,” he said.

Further details about the company and its efforts to comply with the new Anti-Money Laundering Act will appear in our next issue.
