Rebranded soccer body in full swing

NZ Fiji Soccer Inc has changed its name to ‘New Zealand Fiji Football Inc’ as a part of its efforts to rebrand and become affiliated with the Fiji Football Association.

The aim is also to promote participation by overseas players and teams, especially from Fiji.

We have a new logo to reflect this change, which includes the respected symbols from Fiji and New Zealand.

Led by President Suchin Dutt and with the support of the NZFF Inc board, we are busy with a number of activities, such as IDC (from October 18 to 22), the Pacific Football Cup from November 21 to 25) and the International Veterans tournament in January.

The Association hosted 19th and 17th grade soccer during the local Veterans Tournament held at Bill McKinlay Park from September 21 to 23.

The standard of soccer witnessed was good in all grades.

The Tuckers Ice Cream IDC will be held at Bill McKinlay Park from November 18 to 22. This Tournament will prove to be a thriller.

Sixteen teams have entered the competition, with famous local and Fiji based players. Vineet Sharma, who has run many successful soccer tournaments, with the support of NZFF, will chair this Tournament.

The Pacific Cup

This important event will be held from November 21 to 25 at Mount Smart (No 1) ground. Rajesh Jattan will chair this event, supported by us and many prominent soccer enthusiasts.

This is a feature tournament for the NZFF Inc, attracting four top teams each from Fiji and New Zealand, Waitakere United and a team from Sydney Australia. Preparation is underway and more information will be published shortly.
