School students in Nelson are being warned to be on stranger danger alert, after a girl was grabbed by a man on her way to school.
Police say the man grabbed the teenage girl’s shoulder and started to speak to her on Norwich St at about 820 am today.
She was uncomfortable about the incident and reported it to her school.
Police want to hear from any witnesses to the incident, and will conduct extra patrols in the area.
So far police believe it is an isolated incident.
