Popular vocalists Ravi Muthumanickam and Vishnu Priya Mallela will lead a group of 13 other singers at a musical programme due to be held on September 3.
Among them are Akshay Duvvuru, Arun Iyer, Ashraya Duvvuru, Balu Mallela, Chaitanya Mantravadi, Divyalakshmi Jammalamadaka, Madhavi Subba Rao, N P Srinivasa Rao, Pratyusha Tangirala, Roma Nory, Sreesutha Nampally, Srinivasacharya Kidimbi and Vaishnavi Koilkandadai.
Promoter Govardhan Mallela said a part of the programme will be dedicated to Kasinadhuni Viswanath, a celebrated film producer and director, whose films are known for their musical scores.
“Notable among these are Shankarabharanam, Sagara Sangamam and Siri Siri Muvva. The forthcoming programme, supported by the New Zealand Telugu Association, will be on Karaoke style,” he said.
Students of the Himabindu School of dances will perform popular numbers.
According to Mr Mallela, the musical programme organised as ‘Geethanjali’ since 2007, has had encouraging response from residents as it as a compendium of old and new hits from Telugu films.
