A charmer with a multitalented personality, making waves in a number of fields must have what it takes to tick, for alacrity is the most important attributed in a highly competitive and ruthless world of beauty and fashion.
Twenty-year-old Sylvia Philcox, our Model of the Fortnight has more; she has the courage to be different, challenge odds and wade through a myriad of issues, problems and circumstances. In short, she is a fighter.
Born in Auckland to parents of Indonesian and European origin, she is what her peers would call: Hot in pursuits and cool in the head.
As well as being a model, her interest pervade areas such as music, dance, talent search, modelling, massage and pet care
“I am a perfectionist at hear. I am amiable and approachable,” she said.
We are sure that those taking her advice on stress relief and other programmes would be aware that she is also adept in martial arts. If that keeps trouble at bay, so be it.
A graduate in Sports and Recreation (BSR), Sylvia loves kickboxing and Brazilian Jiu Jitsy, which focuses on grappling and ground fighting.
“I am not a sadist but I do not mind pain,” she says.
Sylvia adores animals, which is why, Pet Care is part of her enterprise, Euphoria.
The Company has been structured as a mobile, all-round business, which Sylvia said, aimed to please everyone with a variety of services.
She has a trained male masseuse (Rocky McArthur) for additional help.
“From offering therapeutic massage to looking after pets and taking them on daily or weekly walks, Euphoria is a company, whose names says it all,” she said.
Sylvia has also dabbled with the film industry, playing the lead role (Marcella) in No Time to Waste. She also appeared in Spartacus, a popular TV serial.
