Helping people to smile comes naturally for this young woman of Auckland, who believes in spreading goodwill and joy in almost everyone she comes across in her daily life and career.
That indeed is the mark of Ferina Ali, our Model of the Fortnight, a full-time nurse, who enjoys interacting with people of varied ethnicity and vicissitude.
“The most rewarding aspect of my job is knowing that a patient has walked out of the clinic as a satisfied person. I love this profession as it helps people to maintain their health and appearance,” she said.
Raised in Auckland, this youngster finds New Zealand’s largest city a perfect blend of cultural diversity and social harmony, complimented by “amazing weather and scenic beauty.”
“The Charming city has also given me an insight into the contemporary fashion, which I follow meticulously to keep up-to-date with the latest trends,” she said.
Ferina considers fashion as an art, not just clothes and accessories.
“I love fashion because it inspires me and makes me feel good. It is my way of telling the world who I am,” she said.
Ferina says she is passionate about dancing and considers it as a great form of expressing herself and keeping in good shape.
“Everything I do, someway and somehow needs to be done right, with loads of fun. I have always believed that things happen for a reason. However, I am a strong-willed and dedicated person, aiming to achieve everything that I attempt in life,” she said.
“If you want to succeed, you will have to overcome your fears.”
