Major supporter of Indian Diaspora

To usher in Diwali this year, ANZ is once again getting behind the festivities as a key sponsor and partner in a series of Diwali festivals in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.

The first festival held in Central Auckland on October 13 and 14, drew large crowds and was celebrated with exciting cultural performances and tasty foods from all over India.

The other festivals in which ANZ will be participating are (a) Christchurch (CBS Canterbury Arena) on October 20 (b) Wellington (TSB Bank Arena) on October 21 (c) Waitakere (The Trusts Stadium Arena) on October 27 and (d) Manukau (Telstra Clear Pacific Events Centre) on November 10.

ANZ is a major supporter of the Indian community in New Zealand.

Over the years, the bank has proudly sponsored Diwali and Holi festivals organised by Indian Associations as well as multi-cultural festivals and Kabbadi Tournament.

This is the fifth year the bank has been involved in Diwali celebrations.

“Diwali is one of the most important events on the calendar for the local Indian community, and we are proud to play a part in this exciting, colourful celebration,” Ramesh Subramaniam, Head of South Asia for Migrant Banking Services said.

“Diwali is an opportunity to showcase the food, the music and the vibrancy of Indian cultures. In recent years Diwali has become an event that all New Zealanders look forward to enjoy.

“As a big supporter of the Indian community, we participate in these festivities. We are looking forward to meeting people, and answering any questions they might have about what ANZ can offer, and how we can help them achieve their goals.”

Flights to India

ANZ will have a dedicated stand close to the main stage at all the above festivals.

During festival days, ANZ will give people the opportunity to win return flights for two to India. Festival-goers can register their interest in an ANZ home loan and enter a draw to win the air tickets when they draw down at least $100,000 by January 31, 2013.

The lucky winner will also receive free travel insurance for the trip plus home insurance for 12 months. Terms and conditions apply.

With the bank recently announcing a market-leading 4.95% mortgage rate offer (fixed for six months or one year), the festival gives attendees a great opportunity to take advantage of this competitive rate as well as getting a chance to win the India trip. The home loan prize draw is only available on festival days.

When visiting the ANZ stalls, look for ‘Spin the Wheel activity’, offering great spot prizes.

In Wellington, ANZ will run a Rangoli Competition in three age groups, with the colouring forms to be displayed on festival day on October 21.

The Rangoli forms can be picked up at any branch of ANZ in Wellington.
