A delegation of lawmakers from the West-Indian state of Maharashtra is currently on an official visit to New Zealand.
Led by the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Speaker Haribahau Bagade and of Maharashtra Legislative Council Chairman Ramraje Naik Nimbalkar, the delegation includes State Agriculture and Horticulture Minister Pandurang Fundkar.
The delegation met with Speaker David Carter and discussed a range of subjects including agriculture, economy, food security, and legislative affairs.
The group also met with Indian Parliamentary Friendship Group co-chairs Dr Parmjeet Parmar and Kanwaljit Singh Bakshi and Deputy Chairperson Mahesh Bindra during their four-day visit to New Zealand.
