Lung Cancer patient seeks funds for treatment

The following has been forwarded to Indian Newslink by a reader, seeking funds for his brother Sai Swethan Chowdavaram, who is currently being treated for lung cancer (stage four).

At the time of reporting, collections on this page were 76,120, far short of the target of $120,000. There is therefore a fervent appeal for more cash donations.

About Sai Swethan Chowdavaram

A qualified chartered accountant in India, Swethan arrived In New Zealand In 2011 and obtained his master’s degree In Professional Accounting from Victoria University, Wellington.

He has worked for several major organisations including the Greater Wellington Reginal Council and Fire and Emergency New Zealand. He joined the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment in September 2022.

Married to Nandini Ramachandra in 2019, Swethan has been leading an active life, serving the community as a volunteer and participating in various activities.

A Cricket enthusiast and an avid player, he represented the Taita Cricket Club at several matches and later established the Rowdies Cricket Team in Wellington.
