Let us celebrate your success at our Awards Night

Apurv Shukla – Excellence adds value-Apurv Shukla

The curtains are about to go up on the Eighth Indian Newslink Indian Business Awards INLIBA). On November 23, 2015, about 1100 guest are expected to attend the Black Tie event at the Sky City Convention Centre in Auckland.

Established in 2008, these Awards have become an annual event at which the best of Indian Businesses and people of Indian origin are recognised and honoured.

The INLIBA Scheme is known for honesty, transparency and credibility, providing a platform to showcase success stories of the Indian Diaspora in business. The Indian community is among the fastest growing ethnic groups and its partnership in the commercial and industrial sectors has been pronounced.

Conducive environment

As a World Bank Survey stated, New Zealand has one of the best economic climates for new ventures, helping many small, medium and large business enterprises flourish.

Hardworking and honest Indian businesses know that to survive in a crowded market, their goods and services should exceed expectations. They also realise that word-of-mouth publicity plays a major role in the New Zealand market.

Our Awards recognise various factors that go into the formation and running of a successful commercial entity. They acknowledge the best business practices in 13 categories and honour the best among them with the Supreme Business of the Year award.

The Awards Presentation Ceremony will feature sports presenter, reporter and producer Michelle Pickles as the Master of ceremonies.

A former roller-skating champion, she has also covered many major sporting events including the recently held Rugby World Cup in England.

UNIDO expert

We will also be honoured to have Dr Jebamalai Vinanchiarachi as a Guest of Honour. A former Principal Advisor to the Director General of UNIDO, he has authored many books and journals on new sources of dynamic growth and sustainable sources of livelihoods amongst others.

A distinguished panel of judges is evaluating the entries. Fiercely independent of the ownership and management of Indian Newslink and sponsors of the Awards, the panel has always guaranteed confidentiality of all information received and does not comprise its standards of judgement.

Growing importance

The Eighth Annual Indian Newslink Indian Business Awards are on track to be the biggest of our ceremonies so far. This clearly establishes two things: that our endeavour to be a credible event to shine the spotlight on Indian businesses in New Zealand is on the right track, and more importantly, Indian businesses are now an intrinsic part of the Kiwi economy’s success story.

The essence of our Awards year after year has been to motivate our businesses and professionals to lift their game, become national and international players and intensify their engagement as partners in the country’s commercial and industrial success.
