Almighty has given me a task to be in the state of visual appreciation.

It is in my very nature to love and appreciate whatever is beautiful eternally.

There are very few places on earth as beautiful as New Zealand where one is hypnotised to the beauty and energy of the place, people and the landscape.

Solemn Promise

The Aura of this place is so captivating that it forced me to travel more than 8000 kms on my first visit around three years ago, traveled from Cape Reinga to Bluff. That time I promised to this land to come again and try to capture it’s soul.

In this country, every sight is a photographic frame. You need not be a trained photographer to take amazing images in this place including beautiful sunrises or sunsets, which are breathtaking.

Vibrant streets

The streets of New Zealand are also equally vibrant, people throbbing with energy creating a positive environment all around. People singing on the streets are an open invitation to anyone who wants to be a part of the celebration.

Every corner cafe invites you to capture the mood of the place.

The multicultural energy of major metros is another point of invitation to all the travelers. In such a positively charged place, one is just drawn to be a part of life here. Not only that; the positive surroundings give a challenge to create some unique pictures. So, I decided to experiment on low-angle street photography, to fulfill my quest I had to create a fixture, which can touch the ground whenever I like to take a picture.

Low-Angle pictures

I succeeded in my creative attempt and created some nice images. These images are of a new dimension, which is not seen normally, on top of it, the mood of people, the classical surroundings of the place enrich the visual.

Now, I have got a start point and it’s easier to travel further.

Here are few images I photographed during start of my journey of 500 days in New Zealand.

I do not like to write much, rather leave you with few nice visuals of people of this magical land called New Zealand.

Ashok Kochhar is an international photographer with hundreds of thousands of photographs on varied subjects under and around the Sun to his credit.
