India shows the way for natural skincare

India shows the way- Aishwarya Rai.jpgAccording to Ayurveda, our skin is just a reflection of what is happening inside our body.

If our body is unbalanced, problems can be visible in our skin.

It is important to keep our internal body balanced with appropriate diet and life style.

Ayurvedic herbs and natural substances help to eliminate toxins, wastes, and dead epithelial cells, and encourage rejuvenation of new cells.

Chemical pollutants, artificial heating and cooling, make up, cosmetics, chlorinated water and alkaline soaps can make a person look aged.

It is only though regular cleansing and care with natural ingredients that the skin can be protected from early ageing and its associated problems.

Cleansing the skin with ‘Aloe Vera’ removes impurities, without disturbing the moisture balance. Aloe Vera, known to help cell renewal, was used in ancient times to heal cuts and wounds. Apart from its extracts, turmeric, lemon and rose have also been used to formulate cleansers and protective creams for the skin.

Sandalwood is one of the most popular cosmetic ingredients used in India. It has powerful anti-ageing, rejuvenating effects and germicidal and antiseptic properties, while its exotic fragrance relaxes the mind.

Sandalwood also has anti-oxidant properties and tissue-building abilities.

Almond is ideal for the delicate skin around the eyes, keeping the area free from wrinkles and dark circles. Rose has tonic properties, improves skin texture and soothes inflammation.

Regular Ayurvedic skin treatment can prevent appearance of fine lines, signs of premature ageing, pigmentation, acne, pimples, dark circles around the eyes, uneven skin tone and blemishes.

Ayurveda is the non-intrusive way of achieving results at a deeper level. It is the oldest system of medicine prevalent in India thousands of years ago.
