The country’s largest healthcare provider marked a milestone in Auckland recently.
East Tamaki Healthcare, which won the Supreme Business of the Year Award, in addition to other individual categories at the Indian Newslink Indian Business Awards in 2010, marked its 35th birthday, at a ceremony held at the Britomart Westpac Building.
Dr Kantilal Patel, Chief Executive and Ranjna Patel, Director of the company honoured a number of doctors and staff with awards for their outstanding services over the years.
Established in 1977 as a three-person surgery, East Tamaki Healthcare has grown to account for 18 primary care clinics, serving 140,000 patients in Auckland, with a complement of about 260 staff.
“This ceremony is about celebrating strong relationships and to thank our staff and patients. We always believe that if you look after the patient well, the business will look after itself,” Mrs Patel said.
