With 55 years of married life, he and his wife not only make an ideal couple but also epitomise trust, confidence and mutual respect that matrimony brings to human lives.
It is also appropriate that Muttiah Paranthaman blesses bridal couples as a Marriage Celebrant, a post to which he was appointed on April 17, 2014 through an official Gazette notification issued by the Registrar General of Births, Deaths, Marriages and Citizenship.
A long-time resident of Hamilton, Mr Paranthaman has been serving the Waikato communities as a Justice of the Pace (JP) and Issuing Officer, in both of which he holds qualifications from the New Zealand Polytechnic.
