Retired officials of the Fiji Police Force resident in New Zealand had their annual reunion in Auckland recently.
Organised by the ‘Ex-Fiji Police Association,’ the meeting, held at the Manukau Association Hall on September 29, witnessed an assembly of more than 100 former police officers and their families.
Association President Vijay Nand said that among the main guests were former Assistant Commissioner of Police Paras Ram (now residing in the US) and former Director of Training Kasanita Seruvatu (now in Australia).
The programme included a magic show and Bollywood dances.
“The Association was established two years ago to enable former Fiji officials to remain in contact, meet, greet and enjoy each other’s company. The organisation also aims to assist its members not only on festive occasions such as marriages and birthdays but also in times of need including serious illness and death. The response from the community has been encouraging,” he said.
