Excitement peaks as Bollywood show nears

Two thousand people. Anticipation hanging in the air. Complete silence. Then, music blasts through the air and 80 people of all sizes and ages come bursting through, full of energy and exuberance.

That is what you can expect to experience at an Indiance show.

A great soundtrack, brilliant choreography and a great love story is what you will get in Indiance’s new show titled, ‘Bombay Beat: Bollywood Heat.’

Follow Karan’s story from start to end and experience the great characters and live music that accompany him on his journey.

Speaking of characters, let us meet the colourful and beautiful cast of ‘Bombay Beat: Bollywood Heat.’

Karan: A passionate and driven individual, who lives and breathes dance. Very quick to blame himself and lives with a sadness, which requires someone special to cure him. Karan is a very talented dancer but needs the right motivation and influence to propel him into becoming a great dancer and leader.

Aasha: Beautiful and smart, an extremely talented and brilliant dancer. However, she lives with a terrible guilt and minor injury that prevents from reaching her potential. She is much loved, has great friends and a strong relationship with her best friend. A push in the right direction can break Aasha’s inhibitions and insecurities.

Gauri: Aasha’s best friend; she feels that it is her duty to push Aasha into situations that she may not like, but knows that those situations would benefit Aasha. A little bossy and pushy, Gauri is a go-getter and her bubbly and overall attractive personality means that she gets away with murder.

Swami: is an intelligent man from South India. He has mountains of information stored inside his head. Some extremely useful knowledge and some information that is just useless. His only weakness is his inability to talk to girls. His sometimes very logical outlook on life can be funny but his loyal and trusting personality is what makes him the best person to be Karan’s best friend.

Jignesh: A boy any parent would be proud of. A typical Gujju that loves his parents very much. Garba is his favourite dance form (obviously), but when challenged, he surprises even himself with what he can do. Having a close relationship with his parents sometimes results in Jignesh being the butt of many jokes. His happiness and innocence make him extremely lovable and he fits well with the rest of the team.

Lucky Singh: The resident Punjabi mischief-maker. He is loud, proud and bursting with energy. He is sometimes over-enthusiastic and can get Swami into trouble. He has a big heart and a big personality.

Raghu and Jaghu: Two very modern and western characters who are inseparable. They know each other so well that they even finish each other’s sentences. Amazingly brilliant dancers, with a particularly entertaining way of dancing, they are waiting for their time to shine.

So which character are you? Come to the show and find out just how all these characters’ lives change and share in their experiences.

The world’s first 360 show will be remembered for a long time. Countless hours have been invested in its planning and production The cast and crew giving their best to show that New Zealand has a lot of Bollywood flair and colour.

You would not want to miss this chance to enjoy the colour, passion and energy that comes with Bollywood.
