The Delhi Government will host the next edition of the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas in the Indian capital from January 7 to 9, 2011.
The annual convention of the Indian Diaspora, ninth in an annual series, will emphasise on the ‘Young Overseas Indian,’ encouraging the youth in various parts of the world to evince interest in India.
Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh will inaugurate the event on January 8 at Vigyan Bhavan, followed by a number of working sessions over two days.
President Pratibha Patil will deliver the valedictory address and present the Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Awards to at least 12 persons who have distinguished themselves in their chosen career or public life.

The forthcoming conference will have a strong presence of eight North Eastern States as partners. Health and Education will form the core topics of seminars that would run as a part of the event.
