Asian health comes under focus

The state of health and wellness of people of Asian origin in New Zealand will come under focus at a meeting organised by The Asian Network Inc (TANI) on April 1 at the Fickling Convention Centre located at Three Kings in Auckland.

The meeting, incorporating the 12th Annual Asian Forum, will be held under the theme, ‘Caring Asian communities: Should we be concerned?’ from 9 am to 3 pm.

Ministry of Health National Director of the National Health Board Business Unit Chai Chuah and Statistics New Zealand Demographic Analyst Dr Robert Didham will be among the keynote speakers.

TANI Project Manager Vishal Rishi said that the Forum is open to all, especially those interested in Asian health and wellbeing.

“Students studying Health Sciences, Public Health, Social Science and Community Development, District Health Board staff and members of the Asian community will also benefit by participating in the Forum,” he said.
