Community leader Pratima Nand has released her third devotional CD paying tribute to the Lord Krishna, inspired by the late Satya Saibaba.
The CD has had the involvement of several international artistes including Germany’s Flute master Praful, India’s renowned Tabla player Harjit Singh Bittu (Ludhiana), and Keyboard player Maghar Ali (Bathinda).
Jagie Singh of Auckland was the music arranger and producer of the CD.
“His melodious voice has made the CD truly worthwhile,” Ms Nand said.
Hidden talent
It was not until Year 2000 that she realised the singing talent hidden in her, she said.
“It was at 7 am on January 1 that year that I touched the soil of Puttaparthi in the South Indian State of Andhra Pradesh, the Holy City of my Guru Shri Satya Saibaba. I believe that the Gift that I brought back with me was singing devotional songs. This will be a Gift that I will cherish forever,” Mrs Nand said.
She published her first CD comprising Bhajan Mala with the invocative number, ‘Ram Rahim Ko Bhajna Vale.’
“The CDs have been released only for charity and the latest will make a great Mothers’ Day Gift. Priced at $10 per CD, all proceeds would be donated to the deserving children of Fiji for their education,” she said.
