Another evening of Rock coming

It would be an evening of music, dance and revelry especially for the younger members of the community as a visiting singer renders a number of popular numbers from the ever-popular Hindi films.

Bhoomi Trivedi, the young woman who created a sensation with her song, ‘Ram Chahe Leela’ (in ‘Ram Leela) will be in Auckland to participate in ‘Rock On 2014: Dandiya Fusion’ at Mahatma Gandhi Centre at Eden Terrace on August 2.

New Zealand’s well-known singer Avish Sharma and other local artistes will join the visiting performer at the programme being organised by UA International (NZ) Limited, which has a string of successful shows to its credit.

Bhoomi was a finalist at the ‘Indian Idol’ (Fifth Edition), and has 2500 subscribers on YouTube and about 25,000 channel views.

Organiser Umesh Sharma said that Rock On 2013 was a successful event, raising funds for St Ambulance Charity.

“Our shows are aimed at providing entertainment and providing funds, if possible to local charities,” he said and added that he would also be presenting a number of Gujarati folk songs at the forthcoming Rock ON 2014.

Further details regarding the programme, including sponsorships, can be obtained from him on 021-1111055. Email: umeshrima@yahoo.co.nz
