A night of fun and laughter with Marathi comedian

They say a joke is even funnier with the right dialect, expressions and context. It is often the case in India, where certain regional nuances make the orator stand out.

A first-of-its-kind night of laughter and entertainment awaits all the members of the Marathi community, with a unique offering, which will bring their language, culture, funny anecdotes and a feeling of familiarity of home, all the way to Auckland, New Zealand.

‘Shubh Mangal Saavdhaan’ is a comedy event about how much fun it is to get married and to stay married, to live with kids and parents, and the absolute joy of being a Maharashtrian. Mandar is also the first Marathi stand-up comedian to do an International show.

About the Artist

Mandar Bhide is the only multi-lingual comedian in India who performs in four languages – English, Hindi, Marathi & Gujarati. He has performed in more than 700 shows all over India & abroad. He has also acted in a lot of web series & television commercials. Corporate shows are his forte & he instantly clicks with audiences across all age groups. Mandar made his TV debut recently on Sony SAB TV’s show – Good Night India.

Mr Bhide is the top-rated comedian in the Marathi stand-up industry & is the only comedian to have done multiple international stand-up tours. With a huge following on social media and regular interactions with his fans, the popularity of his comedy routines has created an impressive track record of success.

About the show

The event is being hosted at Academy Cinemas on Saturday, 6 May 2023. The door Opens at 5.00 pm and a Cash bar and snacks are available to purchase. The event starts at 6.00 pm. Finish around 7.30 pm. An exclusive meet and greet with the artist from 8.00 pm onwards at Boda Bar, Top floor, 8 Customs Street East, Auckland has also been organised for those who are keen to meet the artist. Parking is available at the Civic car park; can be accessed on the organiser’s website.
