New World Mt Roskill opened its doors a little over three years ago on the corner of May and Stoddard Roads in Mt Roskill.
The owner/operator Russ Wilkinson moved down from his Store in Kerikeri to open the exciting new Store in 2010, which has a real community focus.
The Store has many of the same faces from when they opened and still has a fantastic range of local and international products.
The quality and freshness of products is outstanding and the pricing is very competitive.
“Our customers have many options in this area and hence we work very hard to provide the best shopping experience to keep them coming back. We often get positive comments about the quality of our freshly made products from bakery and the quality of our Seafood and Butchery, which is great. We will continue to work hard to provide this,” Mr Wilkinson said.
Fresh emphasis
When you enter this Store, you will find a real emphasis of freshness.
The Produce department is well presented and the pricing is sharp.
Produce Manager Mital Patel has been here since the Store opened and sets a high standard with his team.
The Seafood Department is an extremely well presented Department and Seafood Manager Sanjay Patel and his team are always on hand to assist customers with their purchases.
Sanjay started as a Seafood Assistant and is doing a fantastic job.
The fish is really fresh here and there are some good specials.
Sanjay says, “The secret is to start very early and work hard to get the best price for the customer. You should also watch out for the extra special prices I come up with every Wednesday.”
Spice display
Just past the well presented Deli department, there is an interesting bulk bin spice display. This is not something you see in your normal supermarket in New Zealand and is a real point of difference.
The products are fresh and competitively priced.
Curry Powder and Turmeric are among their best sellers.
The main Grocery section is run by Kartik Satoskar, who has also been here since the Store opened.
There is a wide variety of products and Kartik is always on the lookout for new products. Once again there is a great range of specials through the department and plenty of staff around to assist customers.
Friendly smile
This truly is a great supermarket and this is emphasised by the big smiles and friendly service at checkouts. New World Mt Roskill has extra hot specials in all departments every Wednesday which they call ‘Wacky Wednesday Specials’ and interesting new products on ‘Fresh Friday’ which you are encouraged to head in Store to find out.
New World Mt Roskill is another fantastic part of the new Stoddard Road shopping experience.
