Fifth Anniversary
The Company marked its fifth anniversary last fortnight (established on April 21, 2009) with a resolve to improve its product range and market share.
Director Direndra Nath is justly proud of his Company, which has the involvement of the immediate members of the family.
“My wife Neelam (who suggested the name for the Company) has been a major source of strength and support when we started a modest operation five years ago. She has always stood by me, especially in the early days when going gets tough,” he said.
Mr Nath said that apart from his children, his two brothers, two brothers-in-law, uncle, nephews and nieces are also associated with the business.
Innovative spirit
The story of the Nath family-owned enterprise is punctuated with challenges ensued by success, efforts to cope with market conditions and most important of all, retaining the innovative spirit to achieve and sustain customer satisfaction.
In fact, establishment of Kiwi Enterprise (NZ) Limited gave another opportunity to foster the family spirit and customer satisfaction.
The Products
Among the extensive range of items imported and distributed by the Company are Tuckers Ice Cream, Pinto Industry products, Makans Drugs and Pharmaceutical 1 products, Karan Frozen Saijan, Jackfruit, Chauraya, OtaLeaves, Khata Bhaji, Sekko vegetables, Cassava and Grated Cassava.
The Company also imports and distributes Desi brand spices, hot masala, hot chilli powder, Dalchini, Methi, Saumph and Haldi.
Almost all the above products are imported from Fiji and India.
“Business today requires tremendous dedication, sacrifice and hard work. I have been fortunate to have had the assistance of my extended family to meet the challenges of an extremely competitive market,” Mr Nath said.

He is a Justice of the Peace and a Marriage Celebrant and in these roles, he has witnessed and brought together several families.
