South Pacific light middleweight Champion Wahid Khan will be featured in a ten-round fight against New Zealander Gunner Jackson on Friday, June 28.
The bouts will take place at the Active Zone Indoor Sports Arena, 30, Downing Street in Glenfield, Auckland. Tickets will be available at the venue.
A Veteran of 30 fights, Waheed has fought in New Zealand on four occasions.
“I look forward to giving Fiji boxing fans their money’s worth,” he said.
Promoter Craig Thompson said that boxing fans will be able to see more Fiji boxers in his future programmes.
New Zealand National Boxing Federation Referee and Judge Faiyaz Khan, who is a registered referee and judge in Fiji, said that the Fijian boxers had brightening prospects in New Zealand with attractive financial benefits.
“They receive $100 for every round of matches in New Zealand. The Fiji Boxing Commission is in favour of sending their fighters to this country, if they are matched well,” he said.
