Welcome to the 13th Annual Veteran Soccer Tournament, scheduled to be held at the Mangere Center Park Sports Complex from January 26 to 30, 2012, coinciding with the Auckland Anniversary weekend.
The Veteran Soccer Carnival has been sponsored by the Aoteroa Sports Foundation, Sargam Foods & AK Silk Screen Printers.
It would be a feast of skilled soccer and fun filled activities.
The organisers expect a bumper turnout as all the top overseas teams will play in this tournament.
Train rides for children, fun-filled activities for the family, food stalls, buckets of kava and the VIP lounge, where chilled drinks will be served will get people to enjoy the long weekend.
Programme commissioner Iliyas Daud said a new sport called, ‘Tennis- Soccer’ will be part of the feature.
“We want the fans to come and witness something new in Tennis Soccer and hopefully next year we will incorporate this into the programme with competing teams,” he said.
