Auckland based Urdu Hindi Cultural Association has reminded members of the public of its free Urdu and Hindi language classes.
General Secretary Syed Mujeeb Hyderabadi said that classes are conducted on weekdays (Monday to Friday) from 6 pm to 8 pm at 7 Waikaukau Road in Glen Eden.
“The Association provides a great opportunity for Aucklanders to learn and improve their Urdu and Hindi languages and the understanding of the respective literatures and encourages critical thinking. These classes can benefit our younger, New Zealand-born children who do not get a chance to learn and interact in these languages,” he said.
He acknowledged the complimentary service provided by Ravat Mohammad Yusuf and Hasina Ismail Mulla since July 2012.
“The Auckland Council has also extended their support for this programme with teacher and hall hire fees. Similar programs are being planned in Central and South Auckland,” Mr Hyderabadi added.
Further details can be obtained from him on 09-8284876 or 021-1602138 or Mohammad Hanif Ravat on (09) 8139787 or 021-0396932.
