Vocal and instrumental music would be the highlight of ‘Musical Extravaganza’ organised by the Sargam school of Indian Music in association with Lotus Foreign Exchange in Auckland on October 6 and 7, 2012.
The two-day event will be held at the Fickling Convention Centre, Three Kings.
“As well as singers, the programme will feature tabla and other instruments, along with Jugalbandi,” Basant Madhur, Director of the School said.
The programme will commence at 630 pm on October 6 and at 6 pm on October 7. Professor Shukdev Madhur, a recipient of the National Award for Indian Classical Music given by the President of India, will conduct a free workshop at the same venue on October 7 from 430 pm to 530 pm.
Tickets for the music programme, priced at $20 for both days, are available at Yogiji’s Food Mart (26 Carr Road) in Mt Roskill.
