Train Services Disrupted After Tragic Incident in West Auckland

This morning, a person was killed in West Auckland after being hit by a train. The incident, which took place close to Glen Eden station and was reported at 9.23 am, has caused delays for Western Line train service.

According to a police spokesperson, emergency services are currently on the scene and responding to the incident near Glenview Road.

Trains in the area have been stopped and Auckland Transport has confirmed that Glenview Road is now closed between West Coast and Clayburn Roads, with bus services also affected by the closure.

Commuters are advised to expect delays and cancellations on the Western Line. Motorists are also advised to avoid the area if possible.

The identity of the person who died has not been released at this time.
