Ba Football came into existence with the formation of the Ba Indian Football Association in 1935. By 1940, there were four teams playing in a local league, with more clubs joining in the 1950s.
The football team took part in a league organised by the Northern District Association in which teams from the North West districts of Viti Levu participated.
When the Fiji Indian Football Association was formed in 1938, Ba was one of its initial members.
In 1962, the Fiji Indian Football Association changed its name to the Fiji Football Association and the Ba Indian Football Association changed its name to the Ba Football Association, open to players of all races.
