Taiwanese hardware delegation due in Auckland

Businesses connected with the hardware, electronic conductor and other related industries may find a forthcoming trade delegation from the Republic of China (Taiwan) interesting and relevant.

Seven major companies of the Asian manufacturing giant will showcase their products and services and hold one-to-one meetings with their New Zealand counterparts including importers, wholesalers, retailers and distributers at Langham Hotel (Symonds Street) in Auckland on Monday, May 16, 2016.

The entities

They are AMKO Industrial Company Limited, Chibin Machine Company Limited, HO Cheng Safety Enterprise Company Limited, Horman Company, HSP Connector Company Limited, Lijehon Technologies Company Limited and Survex Corporation.

These companies are involved in Personal Protection Equipment, Electronic Connectors, Fasteners, companies dealing in Lost Wax Casting, CNC Machining and MIM Parts, Oil Pipe Threading Lathe, CNC Heavy Duty Lathe, Hearing Protection, Respirator, Face Shield, Eye Protection and Road Safety, Stainless Steel Fittings, Tube Fittings, Hydraulic & Pneumatic Fittings, Joints & Hose End Fittings, Quick Couplings, Valves, Nozzles and Customised Products.

Organised by the Bureau of Foreign Trade at the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Taiwan with the Taiwan External Trade Development Council and the Sydney based Taiwan Trade Centre, the ensuing Exhibition will provide a platform for the participating companies to showcase their latest innovative and finest products.

“This event will not only be an opportunity to discover what is new but also to provide your business with knowledge and information to deliver a competitive edge within your industry sector,” a notification said.

The notification added that Taiwanese manufacturers recognise that businesses in New Zealand dealing in hardware, gardening, industrial protection, electronic connector and machinery industries would benefit from innovation occurring in the related industries worldwide.

Superlative Country

“Taiwan is the largest machinery exporter in the world with an annual value of US$ 4.24 billion and the third largest exporter of hardware products and processes. The   electronic connector industry in Taiwan contributes nearly one tenth of the global total. The purpose of the forthcoming trade delegation is to explore market opportunities and form closer trade relationship,” the notification said.

According to the International Institute of Management Development based in Lausanne, Switzerland, Taiwan surged 15 placed and entered the top ten countries for the first in 2010.

“Taiwan is enjoying incredible performance. Taiwan is justified in being highly confident in its future economic development,” the Institute said in its ‘Global Competitiveness Report.’
