Sumptuous South Indian meal

Satya Restaurant introduces ‘Bucket Bhojanam’

An unlimited South Indian Thali meal is a concept almost unheard of in New Zealand.

For those of us used to unlimited lunch sessions at popular South Indian restaurants in India, it may be a luxury that we miss in Auckland.

Satya South Indian Restaurant, located at 17 Great North Road, Ponsonby, has just introduced ‘Bucket Bhojanam,’ promises unlimited serving of Rice, Sambar, Rasam and Curries.

Priced at $11.95 per person ($10 for children between five and ten years of age, bona fide students and senior citizens), the traditional South Indian lunch includes Hot Steamed Rice, Sambar (vegetarian soupy dish with lentils), fresh ground Chutney, Rasam (another soupy dish with tomato and tamarind), Buttermilk, and limited quantity of Yoghurt, Pickles, Pappadam and Chilies soaked in curd, fresh salad and one sweet dish or Dessert.

This special ‘Bucket Bhojanam’ will be served only on Saturdays and Sundays from 1130 am to 230 pm.

Please booking, please call (09) 3613612.
