St John to benefit from Charity Concert

A number of local artistes will get together next month to provide entertainment, collecting in the process, money for St John Ambulance.

UA International (NZ) Limited is organising the programme called, ‘Rock On,’ at Dorothy Winstone Centre, Auckland Girls Grammar School on Saturday, August 3.

Arpita Chanda, Avish Sharma, Bhavna Suroshi, Kanik Mongia, Rachit Bhatia, Ritika Shah, Shirley Setia are among the performers, who, according to organiser Umesh Sharma, “will entertain almost everyone rendering old and new funky Hindi film beats, accompanied by an eight-member live orchestra.”

“UA International had donated $4021 to St John as proceeds of our show called, ‘Aswamegha Yagna’ held in 2008. We hope to do better with the forthcoming show, with public support. St John requires funds for ambulance and other services and we consider it a duty to help them mobilise the requisite finances,” he said.

UA International had organised a highly successful ‘Raju Srivastava Concert’ at Logan Campbell Centre (Auckland) on October 7, 2012.

Further information can be obtained from Umesh Sharma on 021-1111055.
