The Indian Newslink Indian Sports Awards Presentation Ceremony will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at the Tasman Room in Alexandra Park, Auckland.

Following are Award Categories:
Best Under 19 Soccer Player, Best Senior Division Soccer Player, Best Veterans Soccer, Best Hockey Woman Player, Best Rugby League Player, Best Golfer Player, Best Cricket Player, Best Under 21 Cricket player, and Best Netball Player.
There are also two Special Awards, one each for Excellence in Pursuing Sports Young Achiever of the Year, Male & Female (9-14 Years).
Winners in each of the individual categories will be automatically judged for the Best Sportsman and the Sportswoman of Year Award.
Judging Process
Counties Manukau Police Sergeant Steve Smith, who has been the Chairman of the Independent Panel of Judges since the Awards were launched four years ago, said that entries will be evaluated based on the performance and achievements of the candidates during 2014.
“There is a pronounced need to encourage our youngsters to take up sports, to not only boost the image of New Zealand as a sporting nation but also help them to remain physically and mentally fit. I am as excited about the Awards as you and other judges are,” he said.
Quality Entertainment
The Awards Night Presentation Ceremony will include sumptuous buffet dinner, Kava Corner, cash bar and entertainment by the 50/50 Dance Group.
The 50/50 Dance Group participated in the hit show ‘New Zealand’s Got Talent’ and was the first all Indian team to make it to the semi-finals.
The Group was also featured among the top 30 acts in new Zealand.
Tickets are now on sale at $70 per person or $700 for tables seating 10 persons.
