New Zealanders had the benefit of the deep-rooted knowledge and blessings of Gurudevshri Rakesh, an enlightened mystic, spiritual visionary and founder of Shrimad Rajchandra Mission Dharampur in Auckland last fortnight.

The discourses held at the Fickling Convention Centre in Three Kings on October 10 and Ormiston Senior College in Manukau on October 11, 2019 were attended by people of various faiths and professions and listened to the Eternal Message of Truth of Lord Mahavira and Rajchandra.

Surviving challenges

The discourses were on the ways and means of surviving the challenges of the material world, spreading the fragrance of spirituality by leading a life of virtue and selfless service. This message of combining spirituality in one’s day-to-day life made his teachings appealing and easily accessible.

Amidst the spiritual and cultural celebrations, his book, ‘Benevolent Principles of Bhagwan Mahavira’ was launched.

A living example of unconditional love, peace, compassion and divinity, Gurudevshri inspires and motivates seekers across the world to embark on a journey of inner awakening and lead a life of higher purpose through enlightening discourses and meditation retreats.

With 108 Centres worldwide, thousands of people are drawn to his teachings that reflect simple living and high thinking.

Endearing personality

His endearing personality and vibrant spirituality attract a large following of young people. Children from the age of five are offered value-based training in more than 251 Shrimad Rajchandra Divinetouch Centres worldwide.

With his vision of universal upliftment, thousands of dedicated volunteers offer selfless service in a ten-fold ‘Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care’ Programme, encompassing health, education, human and animal welfare, environment, and emergency relief.

Profound impact

One of the seekers who attended the elevating spiritual discourses said, “The discourses were so profound and yet so simple and practical that I am able to apply a small part of these teachings and transform my life. I am fortunate to have had such a valuable opportunity to gain inspiration and enthusiasm to progress on my spiritual journey.”

Earlier, on arrival on Monday, October 7, 2019, Gurudevshri was accorded an enthusiastic welcome with a traditional Maori performance at the Auckland International Airport with a pōwhiri and a Haka.
