Rakiraki won the Sanatan IDC trophy in an exciting finish at the Centre Park in Mangere on November 14, 2010.
The Salesh Kumar-led team beat the Navin Prasad-led Lautoka 4-0 in the semifinal to claim the IDC honour. Lautoka came into the semifinal after beating Nadi 4-3 on penalty kicks.
New Zealand Fiji Sanatan AFC, known as ‘Manukau Sanatan Sports’ hosted the four-day Tournament, which began on November 11, featuring 15 teams.
Four pools were drawn, in which Rakiraki beat 2009 Champions Tavua 1-0.
The other teams in quarterfinals were Labasa and Dreketi (3-1), Lautoka and NZ Rakiraki (1-0) and NZ Nadi and Auckland Sanatan (4-3).
NZ Rakiraki was voted the Best Disciplined Team and Reggie of Labasa was chosen as the Best Manager of the Tournament.
Amit Narayan qualified for the Most Valued Player Award, while Shelvin Prasad picked up the Golden Boot Award.
New Zealand Fiji Sanatan will host the ‘Girmit Cup’ Tournament in March 2011.
