Syed Mujeeb Hyderabadi and Ghouse Majeed, two endearing friends of Indian Newslink are at it again, with an evening of Mushaira, Kavi Sammelan and Ghazal.
Scores of other enthusiasts are supporting the programme organised by them under the Urdu Hindi Cultural Association of New Zealand Inc banner on Saturday May 23, 2015 from 6 pm at Fickling Convention Centre, 546 Mt Albert Road, Three Kings, Auckland.
Among the highlights of the event will be presence and participation of Abbas Raza Alvi, one of the most admired poet and music composer.
As well as being a successful entrepreneur, Mr Alvi is an inspiring orator and community networker and is fluent in English, Hindi, Urdu, and Russian. He also understands Punjabi and Arabic.
Syed Mujeeb said that Mr Alvi will lead the Sadr-e-Mushaira, setting the tone for the evening’s creative segment.

“Among the guests at the event would be Members of Parliament Kanwaljit Singh Bakshi, Dr Parmjeet Parmar (National), Mahesh Bindra (NZ First), Bhartiya Samaj Trust Chairman Jeet Suchdev, Auckland City Councillor Alf Filpaina and Puketapapa Local Board Member Ella Kumar and Internal Affairs Grant Funding Advisor Wasantha Marasinghe,” he said.
“Association President Nafis Akhtar will launch ‘Dhanak,’ a magazine of our Association with Mr Filpaina,” he added.
