The stage is set for the final match between Waitakere and Auckland at the OFC Tournament to be held at Mt Smart Stadium in Auckland on May 26.
Fiji’s golden boy Roy Krishna’s goal in the dying moments of the clash against Vanuatu’s Amicale FC was enough to see Waitakere go into the Oceania Football Championship.
Waitakere beat Amicale FC in Port Villa by 2 goals to nil in the first leg and Roy was again the hero when he scored in both the goals.
Earlier this month, Fiji giants Ba, who had won in group stages, were hammered by Auckland 6-1. Ba ended up with nine players after two of them were shown the red card. About 3000 people witnessed the match at Kiwitea Street, most of them supporting the Men in Black.
But Auckland City team turned out to be a formidable opponent.
The team travelled to Govind Park in Ba, Fiji and proved their upper hand, sealing the game with one-nil.
