The Auckland Indian Association (AIA) excelled itself yet again with its recent acquisition of a new property adjacent to its current complex on New North Road in Eden Terrace.
The Mahatma Gandhi Charitable Trust, which the AIA Complex on 145 New North Road will develop the new property locate4d at 155 New North Road and lease it to commercial organisations.
Trust Chairman Kanu Patel said the property, earlier occupied by Fairfax Media, was vacant at the time of purchase and that its purchase value was $2.8 million.
“The Trust has appointed Colliers International to market the property for lease. Three floors, each with floor space of 450 sq m is available for lease,” he said.
AIA President Harshad Patel said that the Trust will offer rent-free lease for a specified period to suitable tenants to help them establish their new or existing businesses and progress at the new location.
It is understood that the Association and the Trust will have in place criteria and conditions applicable to such tenants.
“This property is in a prime location, offering parking facility for 51 vehicles. This is an exciting development for our Association,” he said.
