University Mt Wellington AFC has been granted $500,000 for installation of an ‘All Weather Turf’ at Bill McKinlay Park in Panmure.
This venture has been strongly supported by Auckland City Mayor John Banks.
We thank him for his support, which he confirmed at the Ba V Waitakere Game held at the Park on September 18, 2010.
The new pitch will be available for use by all the community sports organisations and will be a great asset to the area.
We already have a strong affiliation with New Zealand Fiji Soccer Inc and this will continue in the future.
We also have strong ties with the Sangam Association, Touch Rugby and Corporate Soccer, all of who run tournaments at the Park.
We will be able to cater for many other organisations and sports events within our community when the installation is completed.
We look forward to this with great enthusiasm.
