Yoga enthusiasts gathered recently to celebrate the opening of the new ‘Yoga in Daily Life Ashram’ at the Onehunga Town Centre in Auckland.
The event, held on Saturday, December 8, 2018, included a Pooja Ceremony, speech by ‘Yoga in Daily Life Society (NZ)’
President Swami Madhuram Puri and a concert of Meditative Music played on traditional flutes.
Yoga enthusiasts and guests enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and harmonising effect of the live music.
The celebration culminated in meditative chanting of ‘Om Shanti Om’ led by Swami Madhuram Puri, followed by vegetarian refreshments.
Some participants said that it was a very useful way of spending a Saturday evening, meditating, practicing Yoga and making new friends.
Everybody could feel the divine and uplifting vibrations at the venue and the success of the evening boded well for future programmes and activities at the Centre.
