A number of organisations are getting together to organise a Multi-Ethnic Festival to commemorate Eid Al Fitr later this month.
New Zealand Muslim Association, South Auckland Muslim Association and New Zealand Muslim Sports Association are organising the one-day event with the Federation of Islamic Associations of New Zealand at Mangere Centre Park Sports Stadium on Sunday, August 18, 2013.
The Festival, called, ‘Eid 2013,’ will commence at 10 am.
Muslim Council of Auckland and Counties Manukau Ethnic Council are supporting the event, which will include sports and activities and amusement for children.
The programme comprises Men’s Seven-a-side Soccer, Men’s Volley Ball, Ladies Netball, Golf, Cricket and Tug of War.
A trade fair, with community service stalls and food stalls will form a part of Eid 2013.
