Model of the Fortnight Sharne van Eeden

Nothing tried, nothing gained, nothing old, everything anew

Do not judge others because you are not walking in their shoes; to change the world, we have to change ourselves first, says Sharne van Eeden, Our Model of the Fortnight.

Sharne is a self-driven and self-confident young mother, who was crowned ‘Mill Elite Global Earth’ in 2016. She drew inspiration from her single, struggling parent, who she says groomed her to be a strong, kind, loving, caring and independent woman.

Values and Commitment

Now a proud mother of two children, Sharne is keen to make them chips off the old block and ensure their progress in life with values and commitment.

“I am an original peace of art created by God to shine in my own time. I never settle to be a copy because I am worth more than that!” she said.

Even as she pursues her Diploma in Nutritional Science to become a Nutritionist, Sharne is a hard-working entrepreneur, managing a company that is engaged in Management consulting, Health and Safety and Project and Site Management.

Respected for elders

“I have a special place in my heart for the very wise and older generation. I believe that they can teach us more with compassion of what they have been through in life. I aim make the younger generation better,” she said.

“Take every day as a gift and do the best you can. Some days might be tough, but it’s just today. Tomorrow will be a brand new one.  And always remember that just one smile to the right person at the right moment might save a life,” is her attitude and advise.

There is a lot more to write about this maverick young woman- perhaps another time.
