Ambitious and passionate about life, this Wellington-born teenager values Indian culture and tradition, imparted by her parents and other members of the family.
If you are a Bollywood buff, you may recognise her instantly; for, she has been on many a stage recapturing song and dance sequences from Hindi films.
Those of you following the beauty and glamour world would also recognise her forthwith; she was the winner of the Miss Indianz 2010 title (Indian Newslink, August 15, 2010), and a participant in the Miss India World contest held in Dubai last year.
A large number of students and partygoers in the Capital will also recognise her as Latisha Patel, our Model of the Fortnight.
“Representing my home country New Zealand at the global event in Dubai was a great moment of joy and pride. I enjoyed every moment,” she said.
According to Latisha, every challenge is accompanied by an opportunity to grow, to better one’s performance and to progress in life.
“I believe that every challenge is a new step that I take in life. I believe this is only a beginning, not the end,” she said.
