Educational institutions offer courses and programmes, employers provide jobs but the greatest teacher of them all is experience, for it fine-tunes character, beliefs and attitude in life.
That is the firm belief of Rani Singh, our Model of the Fortnight.
The Fiji-born and New Zealand-raised youngster believes that experience also hones and fosters inherent skills, enabling people to sustain existing interests or create new ones to progress in their career.
“Experience makes you better each time. There is something to look forward every day in every job,” she said.
She completed courses in Travel and Tourism and Beauty Therapy but destiny set her on a career involved in finance.
“My job involves loans and advances and I love the way people smile and go back satisfied with the services that my company renders. This makes me feel good as I strongly believe in helping people,” she said.
As the only girl in her family (she has two brothers), Rani is a much doted child (especially by her grandparents who raised her) and is encouraged to pursue her heart’s desire.
Rani says she has a ‘simple objective in life.’
“I hope to have a loving and caring husband, raise a good family, work harder to lead a happy and prosperous life. I hope to grow with the company in which I am employed and teach others to do the same,” she said.
As well as modelling, Rani hopes to try her luck in acting.
“This Indian Newslink Feature (Model of the Fortnight) gives every girl a great opportunity to put herself out there and gain confidence and popularity,” she said.
